Due to ever rising costs of purchasing and maintaining a fleet of industry leading trucks we are forced to examine and adjust our current freight policy for our Gibson Building Supplies (GBS) Commercial Division.

Effective April 4, 2022, the following Commercial Freight (delivery charge) Policy will go into effect:

  • $50 fuel surcharge
  • Total minimum charge $125 plus FSAdditional Services:

• Any special services to unload a truck or hoist material/equipment not provided by GBS must be requested by the roofing contractor at the time the order is placed so that proper scheduling can occur and approval is given. The charge for this service will be $175.00 per hour with a one-hour minimum.

Terms and Conditions:

  • Scheduled deliveries can be subject to delays beyond our control due to traffic, mechanical failures, etc. We do not accept charge backs for delays.
  • It is the customer’s responsibility to verify the delivery for correct product and shortages prior to installation. Shipping errors must be reported within 24 hours of delivery. Any damage to delivered product must be noted at the time of delivery. Once installed, product will not be replaced or credited, and all costs incurred to do so are the customer’s responsibility.

Outside cranes will continue to be charged based on an hourly rate established by the external
crane company. Adequate notification is required to set up the crane rental if the customer is requesting GBS to arrange. Customers who prefer to set up their own crane rental is acceptable as well.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your Gibson Building Supplies sales representative for further clarification.
